How to play
- Call denju with "Summon" and purify the wards with "Sortie". Drag to move; skills fire on their own.
- Near a power pole your denju "resonate" and their skills grow stronger. When the gauge is full, use "Seal Release".
- A purified ward can be played again at a higher "Depth". The first time you purify a Depth, you receive talismans.
- Empower a denju with Spirit (raise its level) to make it stronger.
Bond and Ascend
Tap your denju at Home to pet it. Its bond grows once a day (up to ♥5), and so does its power; at ♥5 a "Bond Flower" blooms behind its ear. An N or R denju at Lv30 with ♥5 can use Spirit to "Ascend" to the next rarity (up to SR). Its form grows and its power rises.
Spirit from home
While the app is closed, your leader gathers Spirit for you (up to 12 hours' worth). The more wards you have purified and the stronger its bond, the more it gathers. Tap "Collect" at Home.
Kanji Match
On the Kanji Summon screen, "Kanji Match" shows how well the denju living in two kanji pairs get along. You only see their element and the shadow of their species, and it does not use a summon. It is fortune-telling for fun.
Codex and seals
The Codex in the Bestiary has 25 kinds: 5 species × 5 elements. Complete an element row, a species column or all 25 and a seal is stamped in the Bestiary (a keepsake; it gives no talismans or power).
Night Parade (weekly)
Opens when you purify Ward 3. Every Monday at 4:00 AM Japan time (JST), the ward and its two Anomalies (one that makes it harder, one Boon that helps) change. Everyone plays under the same conditions, so you can compare how long you lasted. From 2:30, a Calamity appears every 100 seconds, and the Noise grows stronger as time goes on. The first time each week that you pass 3, 5, 7 and 10 minutes, you receive a reward.
Yokai Log
The Yokai Log in the Bestiary records the yokai (the shapes of the Noise) and the Calamities you have fought, with their folklore. 30 in all.
New iPhone or reinstall (iCloud)
On iPhone, a copy of your game is saved to iCloud automatically. On a new iPhone or after reinstalling, launch the game with the same Apple Account and choose to continue from iCloud. You can also do this from "iCloud: save / load" in Settings. If you are not signed in to iCloud, the game is saved only on that iPhone. One-time purchases come back with "Restore purchases" in Settings.
Leaderboards (Game Center)
On iPhone, when you are signed in to Game Center, your Night Parade records go on the "This week" and "All time" leaderboards (the weekly board starts over with the Night Parade, every Monday at 4:00 AM JST). Open them with "Leaderboard" on the Night Parade card. On iOS 26 or later, "Challenge friends" lets you compete with friends in this week's Night Parade. Feats are also Game Center achievements (28). Everything in the game plays the same when you are not signed in.
Fusion skills
Awaken two different skills in one sortie and a "fusion skill" is born (10 in all). Which pair does what? Try and see.
Charms
Half of the Spirit Chests, and the chests from Calamities in the Night Parade, let you choose one of three charms. A charm lasts for that sortie.
Seasonal Festival
Each month holds a festival from the Japanese calendar (New Year Visit, Setsubun, Peach Festival, Hanami, Carp Streamers, Firefly Night, Tanabata, Obon Lights, Moon Viewing, Yokai Masquerade, Autumn Leaves, Year's End). There are four goals for the month — sorties, Noise banished, Calamities, and days you petted a denju — each with a reward. Complete all four and the month's seal is stamped in the Seal Book in the Bestiary (a keepsake). The month changes on the 1st at 4:00 AM.
Seal's Grace
Ward 1 is a little gentler until you first purify it. And if you lose several times in a row in the same ward (without Depth), the Noise gets a little weaker in your next try (up to 3 times; it resets when you win). Depth, Anomalies and the Night Parade do not change.
Anomalies
In a purified ward you can take on "Anomalies" with special rules (2 per ward, no Depth). The first time you overcome one: Talisman ×2.
Feats
Next to "Today's Missions". One-time rewards for the Noise you have banished, Calamities, Depth, your Night Parade time and more. None of them ask you to collect a particular denju or to make paid summons.
Chapter Two
Purify Ward 6 and Chapter Two (Wards 7–10) opens. Each ward has its own hazard.
- Last Train (Ward 7): trains race along the rails that glow red. Stay off the rails. Noise caught by a train is swept away
- Static (Ward 8): inside it, your skills slow down, unless you are resonating by a power pole
- High Tide (Ward 9): when the tide comes in, your feet grow heavy, except on the ground around a power pole
- Back from Yomi (Ward 10): banished Noise may rise once more, unless it falls beside a power pole
Weak elements
In each ward, the Noise and the Calamity are weak to one element (shown on the Sortie screen). Skills of denju of that element are 30% stronger there.
Names
Open a denju in the Bestiary and tap ✎ beside its name to give it any name you like (up to 8 characters).
Getting talismans
- Daily login, today's missions, and the first purify of each ward and Depth, and ads (2 a day). You can also buy them in the Shop.
What is a Kanji Summon?
Pick two of 30 kanji, each shown with its meaning, and summon the denju living in that word. The same pair always calls the same denju, whoever picks it (870 pairs in all; order matters, so 雷龍 and 龍雷 are different). A Japanese player who writes the same word meets the same denju. Once a day (one more with an ad).
Kanji of the Day
Every day there is one pair, the same for everyone (it changes at 4:00 AM). Summoning with it is free, on top of your daily Kanji Summon, and it brings 300 Spirit as thanks. "This month's kanji" shows the month's pairs and the days you called them (red seals).
Your data
Your game is saved on your device. When you change phones, restoring an iCloud backup (iPhone) or a Google backup (Android) to the new device brings it with you. Deleting the app deletes the game.
