## Denchu Collection: every utility pole in Japan has a number plate, and a girl who lives there

Denchu Collection, a collecting game with dice battles made by Sanraku, a solo developer in Japan, is out now on iPhone in English and Japanese. It is free to download.

Almost every utility pole in Japan carries a small number plate. Photograph one, and the pole's resident appears: a Denki, one of 47 girls, one for each of Japan's 47 prefectures. The same plate always calls the same Denki, so friends who scan the same pole meet the same girl, and the poles you pass on a trip may hide girls you have never met.

The English version is made for visitors to Japan. On-site summons work at real utility poles in Japan; anywhere else, players can start with the indoor trial summon and play the dice battles, the Denki Index and chats with their partner.

### Summon with a number plate
Just photograph the plate; there is nothing to type. The prefecture and the number decide who lives there. Come back to the same pole for a reunion and grow closer.

### Start sitting down
The first summon happens indoors: a trial pole appears in front of you and calls your first partner, Thunder Fox Hikari (SSR). No camera, GPS, account or login needed. Progress is saved on the iPhone.

### 47 prefectures, 47 Denki
Each region of Japan has its own residents, from Hokkaido to Kyushu and Okinawa, collected in the Denki Index and the Regional Album. Every Denki has her own voice (in Japanese), and her lines and strength change as you grow closer.

### Dice battles for a team of three
Roll the dice and pick skills that match the faces; some ultimates fire only on a certain number. Take on the Big Four, who rule geothermal, thermal, hydro and wind power. The first battle comes with a gentle guide.

### Share your encounters
Turn the card of a girl you summoned into an image to save or share.

### Safety and photos
The game asks players to stop and scan from a safe place, never while walking, and to stay out of roads, railway tracks and private property and never touch poles or electrical equipment. To read the number, the photo inside the frame is sent to Google's AI (Gemini); players are told about this on the first consent screen, and nothing is sent before they agree or during the indoor trial. Photos are not kept.
